New life needs to grow—whether it be a baby or a new Christian. This book is concerned with the growth of new Christians in knowledge of Jesus Christ and understanding of their faith.

It is firstly a study book in which the person works their way through the study, looking up the relevant Scriptures and answering the various questions. Then it is designed to be a discussion book where the new Christian talks over the lesson with a mature Christian. This can be done on a one-to-one basis or in a small group setting.

Rev. Dr John Annells has been in the Christian ministry in South Australia for many years. He has pastored the Baptist Church at Christies Beach over most of this period. This church has seen rapid growth and a continuous stream of people going into full-time ministry. John has lectured at the Baptist Theological College and Tabor College, and has completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. John, and his wife Robyn, have three daughters and two sons.
